1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between:
- BeholdLost ("we", "us", "our", "VaultBot")
- You ("user", "server owner", "server administrator", "your")
By using VaultBot, you agree to the following:
- Comply with these Terms of Service
- Follow Discord's Terms of Service
- Be at least 13 years old
- Have the legal authority to accept these Terms
- Take full responsibility for any actions or content associated with your account
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately stop using VaultBot and remove it from your server(s).
To use VaultBot, you must also meet the following requirements:
- Have a valid, active Discord account
- Be able to receive messages from us (for support and notifications)
- Understand that these Terms may be updated periodically
- Agree that by continuing to use VaultBot after updates, you accept the changes
These Terms apply to your use of VaultBot, including any actions you take within your Discord server. If you are a server owner or administrator, you are responsible for how other users interact with VaultBot in your server.
2. About this Service
VaultBot is a powerful Discord bot that provides the following features:
- Tools for server management and automation
- Moderation and security features
- Tools to engage and grow your community
Service Limitations:
- Some features are only available depending on your subscription level
- Certain features may require specific permissions granted by the server owner or someone with administrative privileges
- Some functions may have usage limits or cooldown periods
- VaultBot’s availability is dependent on Discord’s API and service uptime
Prohibited Uses:
- Sending mass direct messages (DMs) for advertising, spam, or unsolicited content
- Automating user accounts or unauthorized bot interactions
- Scraping or harvesting data from servers or users without permission
- Attempting to overload, crash, or disrupt VaultBot’s services
- Using VaultBot for any illegal activities or to break the law
- Reselling, redistributing, or otherwise sharing VaultBot’s features without permission
3. License
VaultBot grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
- Use VaultBot in Discord servers that you own or manage
- Set up and configure VaultBot settings for your server
- Access and use features based on your subscription level
License Restrictions:
- You may not modify VaultBot’s code or functionality
- You may not attempt to reverse engineer VaultBot
- You may not share or distribute premium features without authorization
- You may not use VaultBot for unauthorized commercial purposes
- You may not create derivative works based on VaultBot
License Termination:
- We reserve the right to revoke your license if you violate these Terms
- Your license will terminate if the service is discontinued
- Premium features will no longer be available if your subscription is canceled

4. Service Availability
VaultBot is committed to maintaining high uptime and reliability:
- Our target is 99.9% uptime per month
- We perform regular maintenance and updates
- We actively monitor performance and address issues promptly
- Backup systems are in place to ensure service continuity
Service Disruptions:
- We will notify you in advance of any planned maintenance
- Unplanned outages will be resolved as quickly as possible
- You may be eligible for compensation in the event of extended downtime
- Premium users are provided with a Service Level Agreement (SLA) guaranteeing 99.9% uptime
Service Limitations:
- VaultBot’s availability may be impacted by issues with the Discord API
- Heavy traffic or high server load may affect performance
- Third-party integrations might have separate uptime guarantees and limitations
- We are not liable for data loss during service disruptions, though we implement measures to prevent it
- Service availability may be influenced by external factors such as cloud hosting or external APIs

5. Data Collection
VaultBot collects and processes data to improve your experience and ensure the proper functioning of our services. Here's how we use your data:

Support Limitations:
- Support is currently available only in English
- Response times may be slower during peak periods, such as holidays or scheduled maintenance

10. Payment Terms
VaultBot processes payments under the following terms:
Payment Processing:
- All payments are currently processed through Patreon
- We will transition to Discord's payment system in line with Discord's requirements
- Prices are listed in USD unless otherwise specified
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled by the user
Billing Policies:
- Recurring payments are charged at the beginning of each billing cycle
- Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed
- Failure to make payment may result in service interruption
- Any price changes will be communicated at least 30 days prior to taking effect
Payment System Transition:
- Current subscribers will be notified in advance of the transition to Discord's payment system
- Existing Patreon subscriptions will need to be migrated to the new system
- We will provide clear, step-by-step instructions for the migration process
- Dedicated support will be available to assist with any transition-related issues
11. Intellectual Property
VaultBot’s intellectual property includes the following protected assets:
- Bot code and functionality
- Logos, branding, and visual elements
- Documentation and written content
- Custom features and algorithms
- User interface designs
Usage Restrictions:
- You may not use VaultBot’s branding without prior authorization
- You may not copy, replicate, or reverse-engineer any bot features
- You may not distribute modified versions of VaultBot
- You may not remove or alter copyright or trademark notices
Intellectual Property Claims:
- If you believe an infringement has occurred, please report it to our legal team
- Provide clear evidence to support your claim
- Cooperate fully with any investigation procedures
- Submitting false claims may result in account termination
12. Updates to Terms
Modification Process:
- We periodically review and update these Terms
- Significant changes will be communicated to users in advance
- At least 30 days' notice will be provided for major updates
- Updates may be made immediately for security or legal compliance reasons
Notification Methods:
- Announcements will be made via our Discord server
- Website notifications will be posted
- In-bot notifications may be sent, where applicable
Your Rights During Updates:
- You will have a review period before changes take effect
- If you disagree with the updates, you have the right to discontinue the service
- You may export your data before discontinuing the service
- You will have access to previous versions of these Terms
13. Account Restrictions & Termination
Reasons for Restrictions or Termination:
- Violation of these Terms of Service
- Abuse of bot features or services
- Suspicious or fraudulent activity
- Failure to pay required fees
- Repeated violations of policies
Termination Process:
- Minor violations will result in warnings, allowing you to resolve the issue
- Serious violations may lead to immediate termination or blacklisting
- You can appeal within 14 days of termination or blacklisting
- Your data will be stored for 30 days after termination and then permanently deleted
Post-Termination or Blacklisting Effects:
- Guild Blacklisting: If a server is blacklisted, all bot functionalities (e.g., commands, counting, leveling, and automated tasks) will be disabled for that server. Members will not be able to interact with the bot in the blacklisted guild.
- User Blacklisting: If a user is blacklisted, they will lose access to all bot features and commands across all servers. Features like counting or leveling will no longer work for the affected user.
- All premium subscriptions linked to the blacklisted account or server will be automatically canceled without refund.
- Records of previous violations will be retained for future reference.
Appeal Process:
- If you believe the termination or blacklisting was a mistake, contact us via the Discord Support server or email [email protected].
- When appealing, provide the reason for your termination or blacklisting (if known) and explain the steps you will take to prevent future issues.
- Repeated violations may result in permanent loss of appeal rights.
14. Warranty Disclaimer
Service Limitations:
- Service is provided "as is" without any warranties of any kind
- No guarantee of uninterrupted service or error-free performance
- We are not responsible for any data loss or damage
- We are not liable for third-party actions or services
Disclaimer Coverage:
- Technical issues or service interruptions
- Data accuracy, reliability, or completeness
- Third-party integrations and services
- User-generated content
Liability Limitations:
- Our maximum liability is limited to the amount paid for the relevant subscription
- We are not liable for any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages
- No guarantees are made regarding specific outcomes or results from using the service
- Users assume all risks related to their use of VaultBot
15. Your Responsibilities
General User Obligations:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date account information
- Protect your access credentials and ensure their confidentiality
- Report any security incidents to our team promptly
- Abide by Discord's community guidelines at all times
- Use VaultBot responsibly, ethically, and in compliance with these Terms
Additional Obligations:
- Comply with all applicable local, state, and national laws
- Respect the intellectual property rights of VaultBot and others
- Do not engage in harmful, illegal, or abusive activities
- Do not exploit, abuse, or misuse VaultBot’s features
Failure to Comply:
- May result in account restrictions, suspension, or termination
- Could lead to legal action for severe violations
- We will cooperate with authorities during investigations if necessary
- Illegal activities will be reported to relevant authorities
